Handwritten "km" markings on speed indicator?

I was wondering what the handwritten "km" (e.g. 2km, 3km, ... 9km) markings around the speed indicator are? Any ideas?

Maybe they are some "solved" navigation/timing computation like:

@ 500 Km/h IAS I make 1Km (ground) in 9s

@ 600 Km/h IAS I make 1Km (ground) in 7s ecc

If this construction picture about boundary value correct, it is the altitude

Höhe = altitude

rot = red

grün = green

gelb = yellow
