Rlaxoxo Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) I know this might be going overboard but I'm kind of a bind freak so I know this might be crazy or far fetched but hey it works well for me I always wanted to have a way of changing the frequency without actually using my mouse and looking down since I like using binds for pretty much everything. So what I've done here is I added about 30 or so binds for couple of things I thought it was missing, you decide if you think it's useful or not for you I'm just putting it out there This is compatable with 2.0.1, but I guess it would work fine on 1.5.3 since they're only keybind Overall I added these binds: Removed Previous Waypoint bind (Since it wasn't working) and replaced Next waypoint with "Cycle Waypoints" Added Refueling Transfer ON/OFF Switch Corrected Incorrect values on Slats Retract / Auto / Expand binds so switch goes into the proper place now (Corrected my mistake from before that made switch inside of the cockpit not go to their proper place) Added U/VHF Manual - Preset - Guard Selector Knob U/VHF Frequency Selector Binds As you can see in the following Images the binds that were added: And ya ... How I use U/VHF Binds Is that I've set up my numpad like so that the keys " '/' '*' '-' '+'" are my modifiers and depending on what modifier Hold I change the frequency selector "100 Mhz, 10 Mhz, 1 Mhz, 0.1 Mhz" with the '0 - 9' Numpad keys It works well at least for me tho it could be complicated to understand for someone else I wouldn't be surprised The File is JSGME compatable so just drag and drop it into your DCS World Openalpha 2 folder or manually replace default.lua's by navigating to your DCS World Openalpha 2/Mods/aircraft/M-2000C/Input/M-2000C/Keyboard DCS World Openalpha 2/Mods/aircraft/M-2000C/Input/M-2000C/Joystick EDIT: Oh btw I forgot to remove the NVG Binds so you're gonna see Night Vision there but I didn't attach the files for the NVG mod so you won't be able to use : / (Try to ignore it)Mirage ~ Added Keybinds.rar Edited February 27, 2016 by Rlaxoxo [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit

Azrayen Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Not on the C if you want to be realistic. Not useful given its air-to-air main mission.
Sarge55 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I like NVG's for formation flying at night. Handy for WVR fights as well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 10700K OC 5.1GHZ / 500GB SSD & 1TB M:2 & 4TB HDD / MSI Gaming MB / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM / Win 10 / TrackIR 4 Pro / CH Pedals / TM Warthog
Enduro14 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 nvg's are a must it opens up many options in the night operation realm with the ground forces. Maybe not realistic to a certain time period but you dont need to have an aircraft qualified for nvgs to use them. Until edge has all the awesome dynamic lighting enabled at night will definately use them. By the way anybody have them working properly in 2.0, the mods ive tried result in warning lights constantly on for cabin pressure and oxygen on warning panel? Azrayen Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) nvg's are a must it opens up many options in the night operation realm with the ground forces. Indeed. With the ground forces. That's why the M-2000C, whose main mission is air-to-air, has not been upgraded. Its secondary air-to-ground role is limited to missions that doesn't need NVGs. Otherwise, other assets (such as the M-2000D, M-2000N or Rafale) are used. Those are air-to-ground all-weather platforms. Maybe not realistic to a certain time period Not realistic even today regarding the 2000C. but you dont need to have an aircraft qualified for nvgs to use them. Of course you do, if you want NVGs to be useful and not a nuisance. Why would air forces (and other operators) spend so much on cockpit transformation to make them NVG-compatible if this was not needed? Why would air forces (and other operators) proscribe use of NVGs on older aircraft without a NVG-compatible cockpit it could be done anyway? ;) ++ Az' Edited March 3, 2016 by Azrayen
Zeus67 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 nvg's are a must it opens up many options in the night operation realm with the ground forces. As Azrayen said, the M-2000C is primarily an air-to-air interceptor with secondary air-to-ground capabilities. This is the reason why the armament panel cannot deal with mixed air-to-ground loadouts unlike other aircrafts. Maybe not realistic to a certain time period but you dont need to have an aircraft qualified for nvgs to use them. Unfortunately that is not true. And it is something you can see with the NVG mode. Some cockpit elements become invisible. The cockpit itself needs to be modified for NVG use. Something I learned when reading the AV-8B+ NATOPS. The AV-8B Day Attack cockpit is not compatible and is not certified for use with NVGs. The AV-8B Night Attack and AV-8B+ have their cockpits redesigned, basically the colors of the lights, switches and labels, for use with NVGs. In the specific case of the M-2000C it was never certified to be used with NVGs. Until edge has all the awesome dynamic lighting enabled at night will definately use them. By the way anybody have them working properly in 2.0, the mods ive tried result in warning lights constantly on for cabin pressure and oxygen on warning panel? It is your decision. Nothing wrong with it, but we won't include NVG support since the real aircraft does not have it. As for the NVG mod, you must request the mod creator to update it. You are rewriting specific files that are required to enable new features. In this case you have effectively disabled the Oxygen supply system and are suffering from hypoxia when flying too high. Enduro14 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 No worries the nvgs I wear in real world we just look under the tubes to see certain things that get washed out in the nvg image. Understood on your reasoning but I will always use nvgs as long as they work as currently they don't so no biggee Intel 8700k @5ghz, 32gb ram, 1080ti, Rift S
Azrayen Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 One always looks under the tubes to see his cockpit, that's not the point. If you wear NVGs in a not-NVG-compatible cockpit, then the (too bright/not frequency filtered) cockpit lights will just make bright spots/blurs inside the tubes + forcing the NVGs to scale back their light-augmentation level, rendering them basically useless (and dangerous, so much can be "hidden" in a bright spot)

Understood on your reasoning but I will always use nvgs as long as they work as currently they don't so no biggee That's okay. But I recommend not using the mod until it is updated. Rlaxoxo Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 @Rlaxoxo Is it possible to make this so the radio mod can be tuned up and down using two keys only? Thanks I don't know, I would have to know the fucntion name for the bind to increase it value up and down, but I don't know where these functions are called from and thus can't make one to work like that. So sry best I could come up with is this [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
