Sun blinded during night time?

Cockpit light level is changing substantially during the night flight -4AM. There are moments when the screen becomes almost completely black including dimming the back-lighted instruments to the level that they are barely visible.

I've tested a bit and it seems the effect is like the sun glare during the day time. If I look away from where the sun is (behind horizon) the cockpit becomes much brighter. Just to be clear the sun is far below the horizon (being more specific behind the mountains).

Additionally the torch light is almost not visible at all:

I have just about to post the same issue. The other thing bother me is A-10C night vision glitch-like graphics. I think all cause by the 1.5.4 bring back the moon.

I noticed the same problem. BTW can you guys use the refueling lights in the A10C ???? (the light on the nose gate and the lights on both engines)

can confirm this on my system. latest openbeta version

i took 2 screenshots within about 3 seconds. before watching into the appr. position of the sun behind the horizon, and while watching in the direction..
