oh and forgot to mention, took about an hour to fall over

current release 1.5.7 stays up for 6+ hours usually with pooping itself

and another crash unsure of how long it lasted before pooping itself

 

1. Start DCS and run as dedicated server

2. Wait a bit then it crashes

Hi,

 

thanks for the PM

 

this crash is a weapons.dll crash but it is very complex to find the reason on a busy server.

 

We would need a track replay to pin down the weapon in question, which can be difficult on a server as the tracks can become large and unreliable

 

tacview may help if you have one

We would need to reproduce on a unscripted server to be sure and try and pin the crash down,

 

Also there is a scripting error that maybe contributing to the problem

I recommend running a clean up and repair on the machine to start

 

It is also worth mentioning the machine is below minimum specification for DCS, as we do not have a true dedicated server environment currently.

Thanks for getting back to me

 

1. Scripting error has been reported and is being fixed to by flight control (error is just a spawn scheduler issue = some planes do not get spawned)

2. Server runs ok on 1.5.6 , 1.5.7 (with a bit of lag due to this version not being as good as 1.5.6) with 30 people connected, it just falls over with new Beta 1.5.7 ..... a lot

 

I will try to get you a track later on tonight .....hopefully (I could not see any tracks being written when testing this)

if you have tacview also it will help, we just need to see what action / weapon / explosion is creating the crash, then I can spend time trying to reproduce it.
