key_stroked Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 The JTAC's IR mode shows every single tree as a "hot" object. Makes it pretty much impossible to pick out vehicles that show up cooler then the trees. The NVG mode has extreme lens flare when looking at city lights, and the IR pointer is black instead of bright. Also, the zoom needs to be increased. In some vehicles (like the SA-19), the default turret optics can see/zoom further then the JTAC binocs. JTAC needs some work.
jdkirk904 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Amen to that. Doing a night operation is impossible to win, because you can't distinguish between a tree, a building or a vehicle. Kirk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
key_stroked Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 One other thing; when you turn on the laser in NVG mode, the laser dot is so large it completely covers your target, even if you're at max zoom. It's big enough to cover the crosshair in the middle of the binocs.
Bersagliere81 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I had that visual issue yesterday (before today's patch) with the Ka50. The Shkval showed exactly those "vertical lights" in 7x mode. However zooming in to 23x it had no such issue | A-10C | MiG-21bis | Hawk T1.A | L-39 Albatros | F-5E | Ka-50 | Mi-8 | NTTR | CA | SU27 | M2000C | F-86F | AV-8B | F/A-18C | Mig 15 | Mig 19| Specs Intel i7-9700k msi GTX 2060 Gaming Z msi Z390 Gaming PLUS 16gb RAM Hotas Warthog
