AKG in DIR & COO Mode - Flight Path Bugged?

In DIR and COO mode, it seems the AKG doesn't actually fly to the SPI or PP like it is supposed to. If you watch the AKG a several seconds after launch, it does this thing where it makes a few degrees of flight path adjustment into the direction of the SPI/PP but that's about it. So if you launch it with the target just a few degrees off bore, it would seem like it is flying to the SPI/PP. But if you launch it with the target say 15deg off bore, the AKG will miss the target location altogether because the few degrees of correction it makes is not enough. It basically does not seem to fly to the general location of the SPI or PP.

I was using them today with PPs and RPs, seemed to work fine.

Sorry should have posted this question here. How long after powering on did you launch? There is a hidden 3:30 alignment process. I didn't know about it either and saw this behavior as well. When I started waiting longer, the problem went away.

Yeah you can see the alignment under the HSD or the CNTL page.

UPDATE: Yes, after waiting for the 3.00min alignment (shown in the sub MFCD under the HSD) to complete before launching the AKG, the missile will fly OVER the SPI and PP in DIR and COO modes respectively, even if you are launching the missile say 30deg off the target location. (This requirement to align was mentioned in Chuck's manual but I could not find it in Deka's manual or in the tutorial vids by Deka/GR.)

Transfer alignment? Where the missile gets its INS alignment from the jet's already aligned INS.
