Hi,

 

I planned to release this mod, but in my opinion at the moment it won't possible due the SA-2/3 cause a lot of bug, problem and BSoD.

At least a dozen of config file manual modification will require by this mod.

many thanks for the reply.

 

hmm, no god news. it would helpful to use the model only as static, because of the beautiful model. without firing. anly to place it. is it also difficult to do only that? show me/us the way, pleaseeeee. . . ;-)

It's not possible, because if you would use as static, the laucher isn't positioned correctly, and the missiles doesn't visible. I'll be create a detailed instruction doc tomorrow how can be activated the S-125 complex.

sa-2/3 missile locations were to find around every russian airbase in the warsaw pact. so it would be a very nice add on, also when they are only static and cannot fire any missile. just for eye candy. and therefore you are the specialist. ;-)

Ok, I finished the detailed instruction doc, and I attached the necessary files.

 

Backup all of original files and always use Notepad++ to any file modification. Be carefull all the slash, coma and any other separator marks must be in his place.

 

This S-125 SAM system doesn’t integrated into the DCS: BS officially. This activation mod should be cause several issues while gameplay. For example: Sometimes the AI doesn’t attack the target, BSoD, and many others. So be carefull!!

big problems - i tried several times, but i wasn´t successful. :-( hmm, maybe we should wait until a mod comes out? is it possible to create a mod therefore?

any news on this topic? all 3-d models of the sa-2 goa (s-125) are already included in dcs an lofc2. i hope anybody outthere will bring them to live??

I have tried to install this mod in LFC2 but cannot find a way to get it to work, there are several differences in the Lua files setup between LFC2 and BS.

 

I also tried to replace the Buk and Kub systems with this but that will not work either, the turntables on the launchers operate in different directions, the missiles turn in one direction and the launcher table in the opposite direction. Aligning the missiles up correctly on the launches was also difficult to get right, never managed it.

 

Perhaps Beczl will find time to work it out, hope so because this looks great in the game, much better than the Kub and Buk.

eddy, and how do you do the 3-d-models selectable in the mission editor and therefore usable in the game?

 

that doesn´t work for me either.

 

can you make a workaround or a mod for this for lofc2?

Still trying to figure it out, keep hitting a problem with the UnitClasses.lua file. It is set up differently in LFC2 and I have not figured out how to overcome that difference yet.

 

Will keep you posted if I get it working.
