MadTommy Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) Hi, "Designed to help create new patterns and skins." I recently used RCN_Moose's guide to skinning the ka-50. It's excellent, thanks. However i found the official ED psd templates a bit of a handful and not the easiest to follow. Placing patterns across panels was a nightmare. So i adapted the original files to make them easier to use and place patterns upon. I expect photoshop users out there will appreciate these files...they would have helped me. :) I have adapted the two main skin files: All the original parts are still included: KA-50-PAINT1.psd KA-50-PAINT2.psd Here are some examples of helpers and markings to help re-skin the ka-50. I hope this helps. There is NO written guide... this is designed for photoshop users, the help provided should be obvious to them. :smartass: ******** Download Skin Templates - (now on lockonfiles) (KA-50-PAINT1.psd; KA-50-PAINT2.psd) ********** Edited March 28, 2009 by MadTommy 5 i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. Sharkster64 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009  Hey thanks for the work on that. That will definitely make skinning easier using the arrow colour coding. Good job!!! :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Warhammer

Frakin Toasters Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 You're a complete legend, cheers mate. I have attempted to create my own camo for this whirly-bird, but the effort involved with creating a new skin from scratch, while working out where everything actually is, has been putting me off a bit.
Heiliger Bimbam Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 That's great. Thank you :) +1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RCN_Moose Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Mad Tommy, great job. Do you have any problems if I use some of those pics in my updated skin tutorial? I think it would really help people visual what lines up where.
