Skin PSD files - ED ka-50 skin templates re-done with added helpers.

Hi,

"Designed to help create new patterns and skins."

I recently used RCN_Moose's guide to skinning the ka-50. It's excellent, thanks.

However i found the official ED psd templates a bit of a handful and not the easiest to follow. Placing patterns across panels was a nightmare. So i adapted the original files to make them easier to use and place patterns upon.

I expect photoshop users out there will appreciate these files...they would have helped me. :)

I have adapted the two main skin files: All the original parts are still included:

KA-50-PAINT1.psd

KA-50-PAINT2.psd

ka-50 template.JPG

ka-50 template_2.JPG

Here are some examples of helpers and markings to help re-skin the ka-50.

I hope this helps. There is NO written guide... this is designed for photoshop users, the help provided should be obvious to them. :smartass:

 Hey thanks for the work on that. That will definitely make skinning easier using the arrow colour coding. Good job!!! :P

Exactly what I need. Best combined with RCN_Moose's skinning install tutorial available at LockonFiles.

You're a complete legend, cheers mate. I have attempted to create my own camo for this whirly-bird, but the effort involved with creating a new skin from scratch, while working out where everything actually is, has been putting me off a bit.

Mad Tommy, great job. Do you have any problems if I use some of those pics in my updated skin tutorial? I think it would really help people visual what lines up where.

Sure use what ever you want, no problem.
