Razorback Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi, I have already used NDB in BS. I have a question about it : The selector for the ADF channel (0-9) is not really efficient. In fact when I rotate the selector, i don't know exactly if I am on (2or 7), (3 or 8) ,etc... The is no marking on the knob !!! My second question : Is it possible to use the VOR ? Is it a map with all the VOR on the map ? How is it possible to use them ? THX RazorbackADF.bmp
Shaman Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Strange, because I can see the marker on the knob! Look again? There is no VOR on Ka-50, AFIK. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
nomdeplume Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 The marker is pretty clearly visible in the above screenshot (2 is active, you can see a cut-out in the knob). So if you can't see the marker, it must be the other side that's active!
JG14_Smil Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 There is no VOR on Ka-50, AFIK. yes there is. You have a VHF radio and course indicators on your HSI. The VOR should have a radio frequency to tune to. If they don't it is the sims fault and they just aren't needed or used properly. Considering most MP missions are instant action/fish in a barrel and have enemies withing a few kilometers, you wont get to use it much anyhow.
Acedy Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 No, shamandgg is right, there is no VOR/DME etc. equipment on the Ka-50, only ADF, however the code base is already able to handle it for future modules.
