I need as many votes for this so please vote... note no need to reply, just pick an option.

 

PS: This applies to MP only as AI are not "relevant" for this scenario.

 

Question is... if someone gets hit and his avionics/HUD is out, but doesn't go down immediately or ejects and instead decides to fire remaining of his missiles (spam) hoping to achieve a hit, what do you think should happen with his ability to fire remaining missiles?

My opinion: Probability of a FCS failure should be triggered. If he's damaged but still can fire weapons, then it's up to the pilot (just like in real). If FCS failure actually happens, then he wouldn't be able to do it anyway. FCS failure probability should exceed 75% in my opinion, i.e, pilot will get that failure 3 times out of 4.

That's the thing, I don't think we have FCS damage modeling in FC2/3 so some sort of work around or adjustment is needed I think

I think that it should be random, because the loss of a HUD doesn't necessarily mean that the FCS will be borked as well. However it could very well be that you've lost all power, or that your entire avionics package has simply gone the way of the pig. But without any real modelling of systems in FC aircraft, the solution is going to be sketchy at best, and a randomized system is really the best option, IF, and only IF the hit was serious enough to cause a HUD failure under the current conditions/system.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

The option I'd vote for is make it realistic. Of course, I understand that we can't have DCS damage models on FC planes.

 

So I guess random would be the best.
