Hi everyone, With the Mirage F1 introducing 23 variants of the aircraft (which FWIW I absolutely love - no other module is that comprehensive, even with only AI variants) would it be possible to have collapsible menus within the unit listing? Primarily for instances where we have multiple variants, so for the Mirage F1 we'd have something like [+] Mirage F1, which when clicked on would expand into all the variants: [-] Mirage F1: Mirage F1B Mirage F1BD Mirage F1BE Mirage F1BQ Mirage F1C Mirage F1C-200 ... Something like this though would be perfect for things like battery components of SAMs. It would also have the added benefit of allowing us to use names that are simultaneously shorter and less ambiguous while keeping them very easy for users to figure out what goes with what. So for example, instead of having: SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” Big Bird SR SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” C2 SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” Clam Shell SR SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” Flap Lid TR SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” TEL C SAM SA-10 S-300 “Grumble” TEL D We'd have [+] S-300PS [SA-10b Grumble], which when clicked on would expand to show: [-] S-300PS [SA-10b Grumble] 54K6 'Baikal' BCP 5I57A generator 5N59S [Tin Shield B] SR 5N63S [Flap Lid B] FCR 5N64S [Big Bird B] SR 5N66M [Clam Shell] SR 5P85S TEL(M) 5P85D TEL(S) Here the Big Bird and Tin Shield should also be listed separately, with the name given (omitting the SAM SA-10 S-300) as these are also used as general purpose EWRs (though perhaps EWR should replace SR in that case). Where components are present in 2 different groups, they should be present in each menu (essentially duplicating it), an example being Rapier, where we have the components to make the initial Rapier and Rapier FSA: This sort of thing could also be used for ships, both for ships where we have individual members of classes/subclasses as separate units and where individual units are contained within the liveries. Obvioulsy in any case, there should be buttons to expand/collapse all.

Hi everyone, A somewhat minor issue - the Su-24MR isn't available for the USSR. I'm not entirely sure when it was introduced, but ww2.dk has it present for the 39th ORAP (potentially relevant for the Afghanistan map) from circa 1986. Several other results for the Su-24MR on the same website has it present through the mid to late 1980s. According to this and this though, the first unit to perform operational testing in 1987-1988. Regardless of which date is accurate, they're both within the period where the Soviet Union was around.

This idea came to me while working on the massive convoy strike misslion. If you have a large group of units, espeсially of different types, it takes much time to operate with them. For example, if you want to turn 5 tank units into 5 cargo trucks, you have to open 2 diffenerent droplists and find a necessary unit for each of them. It is even more difficult in case of using a big number of units from third developers, because every list becomes too long, and not of them have scrolling lifts on their side. This is a repetious work which takes much time, mouse button clicks and wheel turns. Instead, I suggest to alter unit selection from droplist to a kind of Windows Explorer analogue, using a tree of directories. I made some graphics to explain it. A minimalistic variant, where dropmenus "CATEGORY", "SUB. CAT." and "TYPE" are replaced by small windows containing a Unit List as a Folder Tree. Upper, you can see a standart Explorer buttons of file operations, because I think that user customising option of units categories and unit names will also be useful. For example, while working with SAMs, I'd rather chose to have their vehicles sorted into folders like "SA-2", "SA-3", "SA-5", etc. with option to change the very unit's title in the list (like "9A310M1 Buk-M1 [SA-11 TELAR]" instead of "SAM SA-11 Buk "Gadfly" Fire Dome TEL"). Extended variant for large monitor owners Unit Tree is placed side-by-side to the Group Settings panel and contains much more elements. It allows user to work with multiple subfolders at the same time. A vacant place from droplists can be used for a little preview window, similar to Static Objects panel or other options, like a menu of munitions load settings page or else. There is also a show/hide option for this panel, if user needs more working space in the main page to place the units correctly. Folders and units operations are also included. Features not shown on the graphics, but also quite useful: - An [ >> ] / [ << ] button near each folder, allowing user to expand or collapse all of it's subfolders. - Removing [Player Drivable] folders and replacing them with a little special icon or symbol at the beginning of the Combined Arms - compatible vehicle's name. For example, [ "BM Oplot" MBT ], [ 2S7 "Pion" SPG ] or just [ <CA> 9К97-1 "Tochka-U" TBM]. - Setting a specific icons for basic folders and subfolders. For exaple, using NATO tactical symbols for diffenent vehicle types, like that https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/NATO_Military_Map_Symbols The same option is even more necessary for Static Objects panel due to a much larger number of assets in it and a very wide variety of it's categories: from fire extinguishers and plastic cones to huge buildings or bomb practising targets. If you install one or two large asset packs, you'll have to scroll a lot to find an wanted element each time. So, that's my decent attempt to make mission builder's life a little easier. Please, feel free to express you opinion in this topic.

Hi everyone, If historical mode is used, the F-15E S4+ doesn't appear in the unit list with historical mode, regardless of what the year is set to. From the FAQ the F-15E in its current state is supposed to represent one circa ~2005 - 2006 and later on with the CTUs that will cover into the 2010s. Personally, it might be a better idea to separate the different CTU options into individual units, which would allow for easier filtering via the historical mode, unless there's some way of having historical mode check and filter the various changes.
