Just a couple of ideas

1/ For door gunners how about making them aimed by mouse and fired by the mouse button and allow the trakir to be 6dof to aid the door gunner in help guide the pilot.

This would help with multiplayer as well since anyone picked up could work the gun.

2/ The other thing is for realism how often is the M60 barrels changed and maybe a sub menue for changing belts/barrel for the mouse wheel and also to clear stoppages.

1/ this has been suggested many, many times already (i.e. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114955). In the end BST stated, that independend aiming with the mouse while still being able to use TIR is not possible due to technical reasons.

The aiming is somehow bound to the view controls. So "TIR aiming" really means "using view controls to aim" - and if you have no TIR, then mouse look will still work (and that might be that technical limitation: now you have only one device for two functions ...?)

I would be already glad if BST would at least implement two analogue axis for steering the guns - instead of 4 keys that you would use if you disable "TIR aiming" ...

2/ I would like to see the guns jam from time to time that you would have to remedy somehow (by a key press / key sequence? :o)

Yes a key press is the way that Arma ACE clears gun jams and you could also do the same for the M60 barrel when they overheat by just having a button or menue on the mouse wheel or a key. (you could have a 3d animation if one day the devs had the time to model it)6dof should be the view for the trakir since it would allow the door gunners the same view capability as a real gunner/crew man. Mouse is the most realistic and accurate way to control a door gun from what I've found with Arma.
