These days, I started to learn Su-25T autopilot.

However, I was totally confused about the autopilot disengage and trim reset.

After disengaged the autopilot (alt+9), I used (Lctrl+T) to reset the trim. However, it did not work at all. So every time disengaging the autopilot, I had to manually reset the trim by Rctrl+,;./ which made the flight poor efficient.

So what's the connection between autopilot and trim here if trim reset does not work after autopilot disengaged? (For su27, disengage autopilot, the trim reset does reset the trim)

Another problem is that do I need to frequently engage the autopilot once the flight condition has been changed (roll, alt, level...) like what we always do in Ka50? Since the flight condition is quite sensitive to the weight load (unbalanced)

As stated above the Su-25t does not have a functional trim reset button. Other than using the autopilot trick mentioned to get level flight trim you can just adjust your trim until the trim lights indicate neutral position.

As others said, trim reset options are either manual, or using the level flight mode.

Do you NEED to re-trim frequently? Not if you keep a hand on the stick most of the time. On the other hand if you want to keep the stick at a neutral position you'll need to trim, and I suspect that most 25T pilots trim with the autopilot rather than doing it manually. It usually takes 5 to 10 seconds to get really well balanced if you're not maneuvering too much to begin with.

Learn all the auto-pilot modes well if you have the time. They can be very useful in setting up ground attack and bombing runs once you've mastered them.

Callsign "Auger". It could mean to predict the future or a tool for boring large holes.

I combine the two by predictably boring large holes in the ground with my plane.
