GRUNT -Shrek- Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Dear community, as a "I must think Russian"-Su-25-pilot, I developed a wish for certain features. Likely there is a list already set up, which I may be added to. But in case there is not, here are my 50ct (to be continued) - animation of ext. lights switch (3 way?) - animation of "front wheel/wing lights" switch near/far/off (3 way) - animation of airbrake switch - radio system (including dialing frequencies/canals) - keybindings to use navigation system manually (e.g. KEY1 = 1A3P, KEY2= PPM2, ...) - animated ECM switch - radar alimeter interactive (like in Mi8, including warning alt dialable) - moving (e.g. clickable) markers on speed readout (e.g. stall speed, flaps speed, vne, ...) - IR jammer? - Weapons (esp. RBKs, KGMUs) more effective, or are they as weak? - Pilot visible? Legs, etc.? - detailed systems damage model (maybe even trainable in the ME faulty settings) - clickable cockpit Thanks in advance! Will help if needed! Grunt 2014-02-09: - animation internal/cockpit light switch Edited February 9, 2014 by GRUNT -=Shrek=-
Vedexent Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Or - to sum it all up: You want a DCS: Su-25 module. Which is what most of us Su-25 pilots are hoping for, especially if - like me - you go back and forth between the Ka-50 and the Su-25 (and are awaiting the DCS: MiG-21bis module, anxiously).
Vedexent Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 If you read some of the documentation on the Su-25 cockpit controls, you get a real feel for how much more detailed this aircraft's model could be. Lots of little "why didn't they..." problems get answered "They did. It's just not modeled at this level". I think that if someone put the time/effort/energy/investments into making it though, they might go for an Su-25SM, which would be very cool - even though I'm a huge fan of the manual do-it-yourself aspect of the original Su-25.
Buzzles Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 This thread reminds me of my suprise in the differences between DCS World and the fidelity of its modules after you finally buy one. The fully 3d and clickable cockpits in the modules (+systems) are quite a big step up above the Su-25 in World, which means World in it's current state of flat and non clickable cockpit isn't actually that representative of the modules. Sure the AFM is great, but the clickable cockpits in my opinion are the bit that really tie the AFM and systems into the user experience. Bit odd considering World is meant to be the free entry point into DCS and is meant show off in order to entice people to buy the modules. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
Evilducky Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I think the pit model in the 25A is one of the best pits they have in game right now for the fc3 aircrafts. Also you should specify if you're talking about the A model or the T Model. Lol
GRUNT -Shrek- Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 I am referring to Su-25 not "Su-25T" - I think that is fair enough.
