Question for the electronics gurus re: Groovy Game Gear

The Groovy Game Gear board which some people use in this forum has 32 DirectX inputs.

 

I was wondering....is there way to use a multiplexer to increase this even more? Or am I dreaming here.

I have 3 of them, I dont know about a multiplexer, but if you go into the control panel/controllers (or devices whatever) when the GGG comes up it only has the 32 inputs plus the axis - I would imagine whatever electronic wizardry this multiplexer does may be contained within the devices firmware?

 

Of course, i know f-all about electronics despite my career in supporting 9 power stations, a hydro scheme and a windfarm.
