wavn Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Hello all, Done some training and now trying to do some simple missions. In these training I have made some suitable controls on my Saitek X-52 Now the same controls are still visible in "missions" (in "adjust controls": pushing the specific buttons on the stick / throttle is still working and visible) but they are not working in the mission simulation anymore. With "F2" outside view and F3 flyby, I also see the left and right MFCD "in the air". Any idea's? Edited February 21, 2014 by wavn Best regards, Willem
Diemos Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 In the training missions specifically, many of the keyboard commands are required, and reassigned/joystick equivalents, while performing the function, are not accepted by the triggering mechanism to move the mission forward. To put it simply, if it doesn't work, try the keyboard... ;)
rud Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 It sounds like you're flying missions in "game mode". Check in Options->Gameplay and make sure Game Flight Mode and Game Avionics Mode are unchecked. In controls you'll notice the top-left dropdown has controls for A-10C Game and A-10C separated, so if you're in game mode the controls you've changed won't be working. I'm pretty sure training missions are forced into sim mode, so that's probably why your controls work there.
wavn Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Thanks both Diemos and Rud: It was indeed the button in options: "preselect": if that is in "game mode" the simulation will be presented (of course) in "game mode" and the "training" joystick buttons are not working anymore; selecting "simulation mode" everything is fine now!! Best regards, Willem
