Missing Textures

Greetings pilots!

This weekend I rebuilt my PC and installed a new CPU and a new mainboard. Now that I have everything done and all drivers etc. are properly installed I wanted to play some DCS.

 

I launched the game through Steam (I also bought it at Steam) and went to a MP server. I jumped into my F15 and had to notice that almost every cockpit texture was missing.

 

 

Also tried in Singleplayer, Campaign and Missions.

 

Second problem I have is that every time I launch DCS, I get some weird "Automated Activation".

 

Is a UI that only shows a loading bar with a text that says "Automated Registration Running"

 

I can abort it but nothing else.

I have Flaming Cliffs 3 and DCS.

 

If I let the registration thing run for hours, nothing will change.

Not sure about the automated message but I had this issue a while back and although not related to steam it was because the dcs world version was slightly different to the module version. Not sure how it changes through steam though

I purchased and downloaded FC3 (and World) through Steam.

I never had to put my serial key anywhere.

 

When I run DCS now, I get the "automated registration" screen but only the loading bar. I cant type in my serial key before or after. And the loading bar is stuck at about 99% I guess

Ok

 

Navigate to your dcs folder and FC3 in the bin folder you will see FC3 protect double click it and activate your module with your key ( note the path may be different if it is steam )

 

C:\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\bin

Okay! Manually ran the activation process, everything worked so far. Now I will go and test if my textures are still messed up!

Still getting the problem...automated registraion loading bars pop up after launch, textures still missing...

make a copy of your log folder, zip it and attach it here with your DXdiag we my find the answer to your problems there

Did you instal FC3 via the module manager in DCS ?

 

Also have you tried to use the repair function

 

 

or it may be different with steam, you can use the integrity check

 

 

it is something to do with the FC3 module as your logs show this error

did a full integrity check already, same problem still there.

Translated its something like

"The hardware-configuration of your computer has changed. Please re-activate the game, by pressing the option "repeat". If the error is still occuring, click on "error report" and send it to the tech support of the product."

I also think its important to say that my textures of my Su25t are working fine.

Thats becuase the 25T is free with DCSWorld and does not require activation :)

I would deactivate all of your modules via each protect application, as you have change the hardware code of your pc and then reactivate them. If that does not work I would get in touch with support via http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/

how do I accquire a new hardware code?

 

It says "could not deactivate product due to significant change of hardware"...

You have one already as you have changed components on your pc.

 

If I remember correctly it works on a scoring system, and if you change to many components DCS requires reactivating.

Okay. I cannot deactivate it (it says I changed my hardware and it cant be deactivated because of that) and when I activate it says "everything went fine" and then the activation screen crashes and gives me "user interface application stopped working"

Some users have done this " Clear your registry of the relevant ED entries and see if that allows activation. "

 

But I know some users do not like messing with their registry so I would recommend contacting ED Support
