Hi,

I am pretty sure this is the data sheet for it:

http://www.alps.com/products/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/HTML/MultiControl/Switch/RKJXL/RKJXL100401V.html

Added a photo of how to wire it up. I have removed the original link as mine had a bad connection and didn't work in all four directions :cry: But you can find similar here at Mouser : http://dk.mouser.com/search/refine.aspx?N=4294959953&Keyword=multi%20directional

Cheers

Hans

I will use the analog 2-axis joystick from PSP like devices

Joy 1

Joy 2

They cost about 1 - 1.5 Eur and the only difference between those 2 is that the second has the contacts face down.

It being analog helps me to consume only 2 Analog ports instead of using 4 digital pins to my arduino, it just need some more programming the threshold, you know like the table:

X = 0v (UP)

X = 5v (DOWN)

X = 1 - 4v (middle no use)

Y = 0v (LEFT)

Y = 5v (RIGHT)

Y = 1 - 4v (middle no use)

The only thing disturbing is the smooth move, it doesn't make the HAT click sense... but it is cheaper :thumbup:
