Jimbolya Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I was wondering if there was a way to map the mouse for look and zoom functions? Right now in the Su-25T I can use the mouse to look around and the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. For some reason I can't seem to find a way to map that in Ka-50. I understand that TrackIR is the best option, but that's no where on the financial road-map in the foreseeable future lol.
cichlidfan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 IIRC, there is an undocumented switch, double-click middle mouse button, that will switch you from 'switch clicking mode' to 'look around mode' in the Ka-50. I don't know about zoom in that situation though. Jimbolya Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 LALT+C This allows for mouse look and zoom in/out via mouse wheel. Thanks!
Jimbolya Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 Tried dbl click mouse wheel and this enables the same feature. However sometimes the mouse is in my second window and closes the game lol. I might consider switching to single monitor or simply sticking with LALT+C. Thanks for the help.
Hunden Ynk Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 If you want to rebind it, you'll find it in the key-settings dialog under the general category, named click-able cockpit on/off, or at least something similar.
Jimbolya Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 rgr that - right now i'm working with the thrustmaster hotas X. it doesn't have a slew of buttons, but i have thought about mapping it to that control surface. however, right now i'm looking at mapping a lot of the autopilot functions to the control surface as well as weapon controls. if i can fit it in i just might do that =).
Wodan Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Why you don´t just try FreeTrack? Win10, Intel 2500K@4,4 MHz, 16GB RAM, ASUS STRIX-GTX1060, SSD CRUCIAL MX300 525 GB, 4K TV LG 50UH635V, FreeTrack, X52
Jimbolya Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 lack of funds - i'm already over budget lol got the thrustmaster hotas X and the Ka-50 recently - have to wait for more funding to upgrade my head tracking / view solution...
