I use a HOTAS Cougar and am having issues with a spiking throttle. I have replaced the throttle pot 3 times and still have the issue. Can anyone shed any light on this and how to fix it?

if the pot has been replaced, it is probably something else in the board of the cougar gone bad. You might try a firmware update (if TM has any for the cougar, that is). also try different USB slots just to see if that effects anything (windows is strange with USB game controllers sometimes)

It might also be the USB hub, assuming you are using such...

I recently replaced a hub I was using and, even though I didn't previously have any noticeable "spikes," my overall control IS noticeably smoother.

I have my Cougar connected to a powered HUB with no problems. Sounds like something else is going on with yours.
