GodsPrototype Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Not sure if people already heard of this, but a company called "True Player Gear" is making another VR headset very similar to the design Oculus Rift is heading towards with their final design. Check it out here: http://www.trueplayergear.com/ I think it's called "Totem" as it says "Get your Totem ready". Not sure if that's an expression or just the name of the product. Since Oculus Rift is now owned by facebook, I will probably not go anywhere near Oculus Rift. I never liked facebook and how they go around with people's private information. It appears to be similar to Oculus Rift. Anyone else considering getting this instead of the Oculus Rift? And is there any information about whether DCS will support this as well? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Well it's a decent amount of information since it's just been announced. More information than most flight simulation and DCS products, that's for sure. They have specifications and a clear design, just no release date [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

GodsPrototype Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Totem has cameras so you can see your pit switches. So far it looks like Totem for pitbuilders and Rift for HOTAS only. The consumer version of the Oculus Rift also has cameras [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 The Rift also has engineering models, dev kits and videos of them in use.
