If somebody cant start and take off, this video must help. This very short video (time to take off about 40 sec, 12-13 steps)

 

Red circles shows - where buttons must push to engine start & take off

Hmm, not to nag but for an instructional video, there really is lot's of stuff happening that you don't want to do. :noexpression:

 

Off the top of my head: You didn't switch to the ram air intake, firewalled the throttle repeatedly on a cold engine, didn't set takeoff trim, did not adhere to min temps for takeoff power, you took off with full flaps (as far as i can see, really bad idea), you ran the engine at 25kRPM and close to 60inHg which is probably worst, since it will ruin your engine pretty darn quick.

 

Don't want to ruin your day, just things to consider for newcomers.

Not to mention closing the canopy...

 

Actually, I think I get what SandMartin was trying to show. It may not have been to the book but he did demonstrate that one could take off and land relatively quickly. I was actually impressed with how little landing bounce there was on the aggressive approach. However, no doubt I probably would have poo-ed myself had that been a TF-51 and I was riding passenger.. .
