Okay, this is going to be a stupid question. Fair warning.

Been flying with DCS for years now, and have all the modules, etc. Downloaded the 1.2.8 patch last night and....it seems to install as it's own separate game, ie not in my DCS folder with my DCS stuff? Is this correct? Am I missing something here?

If it is separate, I cannot fly most aircraft. I know this is me doing something stupid, and I've already corrupted my old DCS file by trying to just take that and copy over my proper DCS World folder, so....what am I doing wrong?

1.2.8 is in Open Beta, which installs separate from your normal install.

It is a beta install that is meant to be kept separate from the latest release version, so it will create 2 different installs on your machine, modules included.

Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip

It installs another copy of the game under the directory of 'DCS World OpenBeta'.

Once installed, use the module manager (log in) to download and install your previously purchased modules.

Please ensure you have repaired your current 1.2.7 install, as the Beta copies files from it during it's installation.

Asus Z390 Code XI, i9-9900K, RAM 32 Gig Corsair Vengeance @ 3200, RTX 2080 TI FE, TIR 5, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB, HOTAS WH, ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q, HTC Vive Pro, Win 10 x64
