I once remember flying an online mission that had missions goals set and upon completion of each of the goals (destruction of bridges), there was a chat message stating that the mission goal has been achieved. How must the mission be built in order to see those messages? Does it matter if the host or the client achieves the goal?

You must set a NEW MISSION GOAL (button on the left side) in the TARGETING editor, by the mission planning. ;)

Mission goals and targeting are two seperate things, aren't they? Plus, I've done both, but I get no messages upon completion of a goal. I know I've seen these messages before. Are they broken now?

They are indeed separate things - targeting only brings up the diamond in your HUD or tells your wingman what to bomb.

Sure it wasn't part of the notifications stuff?

"britgliderpilot kills Goya with FAB-100" sort of thing?

IIRC, most people have it turned off and it's only available on MP.

Yes, it was part of the notifications that most servers have turned off. However, I don't have it turned off. The goal completion doesn't appear for the host or client on my machine.

And why the hell are you dropping bombs on me?
