I was playing with the modelviewer, when I found out the the tail model for the Dutch and Belgium F-16's already exists? The Dutch F-16 use a little different tail section, for storage of the chute.

Arg 27 seem to be able to display that aft section of the tail, but I cannot see it happening in the game.

I am so new into this, I have no idea where to search for it, let alone where to edit the MLU config to enable that piece of the tail. Is it actually possible?

It shows up at arg27 0.106.

Is there anybody who could help me out with this.

I like the game, and the Viper for me is a great and special plane to fly with.

I use the Iberian mod for enabling the Viper to be flown. Thanks in advance for your time.

EDIT: Found out the 27 is the country code for ... the Netherlands. Makes sense. However, the extended tail is not showing up in the game. The search continues.

I'm don't think I can be of help in that part :) But in my mod, if you press P during landing, the aircraft will make sound and brake as if it had chute (no chute visible though).

Thx for the help! However, I am now a little confused.

There are 2 models, the F-16.edm and the F-16A.edm.

Am I right when I assume that the last F-16.edm is the F-16C?

That model will not load the liveries, the F-16A model will.

Arg 70 is indeed also loading the extended tail, thx for pointing me in the right direction.

Now for where to activate this arg? I am guessing in the description.lua? Or is this just called for liveries? It's all very new to me.

An other place could be \Database\planes?

But even so, how do I add this arg to show the extended tail?

Sorry to bother you wit such a little issue, but it is rather confusing all together, even after reading several topics.

No succes trying to figure it out myself :( I must have looked in any file in DCS by now. The strange thing is, that the Belgium version does have the extended tail. Is this all embedded in the .edm file, and can this not be edited at all?

The liveries on the other hand work. Took some time to understand the logic, but that was where the modelviewer pointed me in the right direction.

Any help is much appreciated.
