ARM505
So is the solution to this problem solved on a 'per user' basis? Is there no patch or something that anybody can dl to cure the problem, or must everyone affected contact starforce to solve it? Thanks!
W-Natas
Read this! I wrote a Email to the starforce support. They asked me about the BuildGuid and the BuildSignature of the protect.dll. Next day i got a key to my CD. I have to start the game and hold down the shift key and then i entered the key.... LockOn starts. I hope too, a working fix will be released soon. But this is a quick selfhelp. Good Luck all! This message was sponsored by "askingstupidquestions.com" in cooparation with "icantfly.de".

hornet1a
Yes it is an old thread but its still valid! I upgraded my computer this weekend=CPU:AMD64 3800x2(double core) , Mainboard: MSI K9n (Nvidia570 ultra chipset) and the CD version of Flaming Cliff 1.12a (from Natural Point) now hangs at 30% of the Starforce CD detection screen and after scanning the CD for about 2 minutes give an error message (did not write it down sorry!) The same CD worked fine and still work fine with the old AMD64 3000 single core computer,if this is an AMD double core problem i'm afraid that this problem will become worse in the following month.............. Eagle Dynamics and its Beta testers should look into this problem if "Black Shark" is protected with the same Starforce protection :-( Hornet1a
