blackbelter Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Write their names on the two sides of a coin, then flip it... After that, go get the 780TI.
xxJohnxx Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 780 or 780Ti is the was to go. Check out my YouTube: xxJohnxx Intel i7 6800k watercooled | ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 | 32 GB RAM | Asus GTX1080 watercooled
Cedaway Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I've got a Gigabyte 770GTX-4Gb OC and it's a great card. I recommend it. (or any 770OC - 4Gb...) Saruman Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Is anyway the cheaper 760 (~200 €) worth the money, compared to the 560ti?
Spadje Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I have the Asus 770 2GB card, if you are not playing in 4k resolution there is no advantage of getting the 4GB card. Save the money and go with the 2GB card. It does great at 1920x1080 AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 64GB DDR 4, MSI Ventus 2070 Super, Samsung 970 M.2 NVMe, WD Blue 512GB SSD, TM Warthog, CH Pro Pedals, Acer AH101 WMR

It does great at 1920x1080 agree with you, i'll buy gigabyte gtx 770 2gb oc windforce edition tomorrow and many people told the same with yours. my screen resolution is 1680x1050 and 770 2gb card afford more than it.
rcjonessnp175 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Their is a big advantage to 4gb mem at 1080p in this game. If you run texture mods you will hit over 3gb used in 1080p. I run two oc 770 4gb. Well worth it. More memory the better I7 4770k @ 4.6, sli 980 evga oc edition, ssdx2, Sony 55 inch edid hack nvidia 3dvision. Volair sim pit, DK2 Oculus Rift.
Spadje Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) I run the sim at stock with everything maxxed and it barely scratches 1GB. I guess if you plan on modding the crap out of the sim then go for it, but tests have shown not many games touch 2GB unless you are running 4k resolutions. Even Farcry 3 running at max details doesnt need 4GB and actually performs better on 2GB. This sim that we play is CPU bound more than anything and I doubt it would need it. As you see in the link the 4GB card does not shine until running resolutions above 2560x1600. Ran perfect https://www.dropbox.com/s/yswqxu0hhlizdoy/Screen_140415_120536.jpg Edited April 15, 2014 by Spadje AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 64GB DDR 4, MSI Ventus 2070 Super, Samsung 970 M.2 NVMe, WD Blue 512GB SSD, TM Warthog, CH Pro Pedals, Acer AH101 WMR
tusler Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Thanks for the help! I'll go with the 2gb card since I run it at 1920x1080 and I have not used any scenery mods since I bought the Black Shark when it was first released. Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! KaspeR32 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Honestly, you don't need a 4gb card right now.. but why wouldn't you future proof yourself? I mean, 4k resolution is on the way, right now, and the Consumer Rift is going to be higher than 1080p. You probably already ordered the card but, my 2 cents is get a card that will last you at least a few years, higher resolution is coming. Spadje Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I agree with you KaspeR32 but for me, by the time 4k resolution monitors are in my price range I will need a new video card anyways lol. Good point. I myself like to stay in the "mid range" area when it comes to video cards / TVs. I'm actually waiting until 4k becomes a little more common before I upgrade my video card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G1FB3694 They're not tooooo far off =) Intel i5-2500k @ 4.4GHz w/ H70 liquid cooler, ASRock PRO3-M Z68 Mobo, 32G 1600Mhz Mushkin RAM, EVGA GTX970 4GB , OCZ Agility 3 128g SSD, SanDisk 240g SSD, Win7 64-bit --Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/livingfood --
Spadje Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Nice monitor still about 500 bucks more than my budget on a monitor lol :) AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 64GB DDR 4, MSI Ventus 2070 Super, Samsung 970 M.2 NVMe, WD Blue 512GB SSD, TM Warthog, CH Pro Pedals, Acer AH101 WMR
