S77th-RYKE Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Not sure if this is a bug or if it was modeled this way , when I hit the R key to bring out the refueling boom and pick a refueling station my plane's trim jerks heavily and whole stick behaviour is porked , it responds like it's on valium or something and normal stick movements are minimised to nothing... hope it's not "modeled" this way cause it sux to have my plane's whole behaviour change this way , my plane should respond the same way wether I'm flying, refueling , flying formation or coming in for a landing on the Kuz. Anyone else experience this ? P.S. britgliderpilot Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Yup, I have it as well. Guess - the axis curves are mapped differently for the refuelling submode. You've had the option to map curves individually for flight mode since Flanker 2, and you can still do it in Lomac. I think, for some reason, the refuelling mode isn't included when you edit the navigation mode curves. Shrug. You also get more precise speed/height info while refuelling - single digits instead of 10 km/h increments. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
S77th-RYKE Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 :( Hope someone from ED could help us modify that curve data for refueling... maybe there's a .cfg or something that could be edited to point to a specified curve fot the refueling sub mode ? I hate the way it's modeled right now , I fly like a retard jerking off ;) (not that I ever saw one lol ) [sIGPIC]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v108/madmaxx69/LOMAC/Rykesig1.jpg[/sIGPIC] Savage 77th , http://s77th.com |Core i7 920|Asus P6T Deluxe V2|GTX 285|9600GT-OC|6G DDR3|Softh on 3x22"CRTs|Tir2|yeahIsaidTir2|X-45|Haf 932|Vista Ultimate 64|
golfsierra2 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Could it be, that the axis curves are different in refueling mode in oder to decrease response from the aircraft on stick inputs ? I think, this probably was intended to make it somewhat easier to stay close to the boom, therefore the input was reduced in agility. Could be !? kind regards, Raven.... Yeah I think that's it from what BGP said , but I don't like it , you know I become used to my stick behaving a particular way , I can stay on someone's wing and I know exactly how to move my stick to make my plane react, in refueling it's all porked and doesn't behave like I'm used too ... In other words I hate it lol, I wish ED could explain to us how to adjust or get rid of that particular behaviour . MonnieRock Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 In real life does the aircraft's control systems change in a refueling mode? I do not know, as I have not flown a SU-33. I've mapped my joy in linear way (as suggested in FC manual for Su-25 AFM). Maybe for Su-33 (without AFM) it's necessary set the joy in different way. (???). ED please can explain us? (my joy: analogic CH rudder, fighterstick and throttle.)
