Sceptre Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Is it too late for me to donate to the DCSWW2 Kickstarter project and get beta access etc, or is the project closed now? Sorry for asking this I'm sure it's been said somewhere I just can't find it. Altflieger Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Afraid so, but... It was mooted that there may be another kickstarter around the time of beta release IIRC, probably dependent upon the reaction by the punters to the beta. It was suggested that the kickstarter would be to raise funds for a B17. Things are progressing, however timelines are somewhat wooly, but stick around for the ride, it'll be fun ;)

Sceptre Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 lol, that's a shame. Thanks for the quick replies RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
SPEKTRE76 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Well, this sucks. Why stop, they should promote it on the website. I'd love to back this project! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] NEED DESIGN PROJECTS FOR YOUR CAMPAIGNS? PM ME.
Harakou Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I think it's just logistics. There's a lot of organization involved in keeping track of everyone that donated through Kickstarter + Paypal. Trying to manage new backers coming in all the time on top of that would probably be way too much to handle. ^^
Mogster Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I do think the team should have continued to collect donations outside of Kickstarter, a lot of projects do that. But if Luthier though it was too much then there must have been a good reason.
fastfreddie Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'm pulling for RRG to bring us a great addition to DCS but they aren't like Star Citizen or some of the other more successful fundraisers. Not sure if they have the right business background or personnel/funding to stay on top of a continuing fundraising campaign. Those types of fundraising require much more fan interaction and develop information than what we are currently getting to be very successful. They also didn't seem to need a lot of cash to begin with to finish the first DCS WWii installment.
