mr_mojo97 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Was just clearing out some old gibbons from my hard drive earlier on and came across FSX with acceleration pack. Now I got into FSX around 12 years ago (not my first flight sim though - that was Birds of Prey on the Commodore Amiga A500+!) and was flight sim of choice for a long time until the might of DCS A-10C 1.1.0.7 grabbed me by the ear and pulled me to the military air combat side. Anyhoo, FSX and it's components is 16gb which is a good chunk of my 128gb space and I've deleted my dcs 1.2.8 beta (another 16gb of space) and updated 1.2.7. So my question is this - is it really worth keeping FSX (bearing in mind I don't even have the original discs anymore) for old times sake even though I never fly in it. If I remember rightly EDGE is gonna take 25gb of hard drive space as well. I actually bought my ssd solely for dcs but will dcs ever really fill up all the space? Doubtful, really I suppose unless new maps come about then maybe 128gb ain't gonna be enough! SUBS17 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 FSX is good for realistic carrierops if you get vLSO. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
mr_mojo97 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Ok, cool, I've heard about that so maybe I'll take a look, thanks for reminding me about it, Subs. It'll come in handy for when bug/superbug arrives. PFunk1606688187 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 FSX is one of only a few products I know of that you can use for realistic civilian multiplayer flight on a scale larger than just you and your buddies. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
