lennycutler Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 When you engage TO Trim for takeoff, the trim effect is very obvious, and I have no problem with that....but I would think that the TO trim would be automatically reset once gears and flaps are up....but I have no real knowledge if that is how it is in real life. Currently, I have mapped Take Off Trim to my Hotas Warthog trim button, and I have mapped Reset Trim also....so once I have taken off, I must reset all trim to disengage Take Off Trim. Am I correct that we must use Reset Trim to disengage TO Trim? Velocity MicroI7-4790 Windows 7 Home Premium 16Gigs RAM EVGA NVIDIA GTX 1070 500GB SSD TM Hotas Warthog
docfu Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Not that this is an F-15C question but I'm completely paranoid of both trim and autopilot on the SU-25T. I find every time I disengage my aircraft is flying in odd directions and hitting Trim Reset does nothing... Anyone else have this?
Home Fries Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 @docfu, The Su-25T has no trim reset. Just make sure that you disengage the autopilot while flying in a stable and normal attitude so that the trim inputs are for maintenance, not corrections. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
GGTharos Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Right now TO trim in the F-15C is wrong. Until it is fixed, use center trim (it's actually in the correct position) instead of TO trim. Robin_Hood Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 +1, good to know, I figured it was wrong, didn't know neutral trim position was actually the right one. 2nd French Fighter Squadron
