anlq
Hi, anyone has problem with gunpod after 1.2.8 ? Su-25 A/T are my favourite birds. After updating to 1.2.8 I notice some problem with gunpod, it can't kill target correctly like before, it's always off target, it seems something is wrong with aiming, both with Su-25A and Su-25T. I tried some missions but nothing changes. I attached a track in case of somebody cares to fix this in the next patch. Thank you. p/s: I got problem with IR Jamming and ECM light too (but some mates mentioned this bug in the other threads)SU-25t gunpod.trk
L0op8ack
Gun/rocket/bomb(CCIP) aiming mark is not wind-corrected in my tests. So it is with CCIP of 29s/Su27/Su33.
Isegrim
No i havent a proplem with that they are working fine for me. But if you Jettison them while tracers are still in the Air you get a CTD. "Blyat Naaaaa" - Izlom

I'm not expert of Fire Control System. Planes have wind sensors, so wind vector is a known parameter to FCS. FCS can take it into account in CCIP, in theory. But I don't see anything wrong with onboard cannon firing in windy condition. Any ED guy out there can confirm this bug ? :( Edit: onboard cannon, dumb bombs also off target under windy weather. Dr_Arrow
I'm not expert of Fire Control System. Planes have wind sensors, so wind vector is a known parameter to FCS. FCS can take it into account in CCIP, in theory. Su-25/T has a very crude and simple weapon "computer" (it really is rather a device than computer) and no FCS. As far as I know it has no such thing as wind sensor. So I doubt it can compensate bombs/cannon/rockets for wind.
boquinauer
That's not right. Su25T target sight should be wind corrected. The Su25T has integrated the SUV-25T (8PM) targeting and weapon control system. Which includes: - DISS-7 Doppler system; - IKV-1 flight environment data system; - RV-15 radio altimeter; - RSBN-6S UHF nav system; - RSDN long range nav system; - Shkval daytime automatic sight; - Mercury night vision; - IT-23M data display system; - Prichal laser system; - A central computer that gives you the firing solution. Info taken from the book "The attack aircraft Su25 and its derivatives".

Well maybe the central computer is more advanced than in the A version, but it is still not clear if it can compensate for wind as it depends on capabilities of IKV-1 and the computer itself. boquinauer
Well maybe the central computer is more advanced than in the A version, but it is still not clear if it can compensate for wind as it depends on capabilities of IKV-1 and the computer itself. Any firing system that compensates for the wind relies on the air data computer of the airplane and some sort of navigation system like GPS, inertial or doppler system. Air Data will give you IAS, temperature, altitude and therefore TAS. Nav system will give you "track" and groundspeed. Computing TAS vs Groundspeed and HDG vs Track you get the wind (speed and direction). For instance, the A10 uses its CDU connected to the inertial system that computes air data to get all mentioned above. Same for the Su25T. What happens when any of this systems fail? Well, then is when your entire targeting system fails and you're supposed to use the fixed target reticle.
