fitness88 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 What is the difference between F1 Natural head movement view vs. F1 Head shift movement on / off. I'm trying to eliminate what looks like head wobble but when I try and disable both F1 Natural head movement view and F1 Head shift movement on/off I still have lots of wobble. Thank you.
kobac Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Yes, good question, and I'm interested for this. Also, I'm interested and whether any of these commands, in some way preparing pilots for higher G load, or it's refers to a change of views? This is very important in a dogfight. As near as I can tell, natural head movement allows the viewpoint to move in both the vertical and horizontal planes in response to aircraft movement. Head shift movement restricts the viewpoint to movement in the horizontal plane only. EDIT: If you are not using TIR or the mouse to look around, these simply give a more natural feel to what would otherwise be a very static F1 view. I don't believe, Kobac, that they prepare you for anything. As a practical matter, natural head movement can shift your eyes further away from the cockpit instruments. Head shift view keeps your eyes more firmly inside the pit.
