hancsu Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Is it theoretically possible to be able to use the Xbox 360 Controller for: Movement of the plane (left stick) Movement of the pilots head/view (right stick) Guns (left/right trigger) Thrust (possibly L/R bumpers?) And then use the keyboard for everything else? I'm not sure on whether it's possible to have 2 inputs or what. Any wisdom here? :) Edited May 6, 2014 by hancsu
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 6, 2014 ED Team Posted May 6, 2014 should be fine, my xbox controller shows up in my dcs controls when I am to lazy to unplug it :) Axis and buttons should map without issue DCS will see all controllers individually Forum rules - DCS Crashing? hancsu Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Hmm, I don't seem to be able to achieve what I wanted. For example, the game had pre-mapped the D-PAD to look around the cockpit, which I want to be on the right stick, but there's only the option of buttons, no axis controls in that part. I went in axis commands and it isn't there. :/
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 6, 2014 ED Team Posted May 6, 2014 I see what you mean, for some aircraft the option to use a axis on the camera horizontal view and vertical view is greyed out. This seems to be the case for the F-15 as an example. However you can map it in the UH-1H. I will enquire about this Forum rules - DCS Crashing? hancsu Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 It is very odd. I guess I'll just stick with the keyboard for the time being. If I figure something out I'll be sure to post.
