My DCS is up to date with the 128 update but I'm not understanding why none of my mission for the P-51 or control setting were applied to the TF-51.

 

Can someone tell me how to get the TF-51 to use the same controls/profile I have setup for the -51 and how to get my P-51 missions into a location were the TF-51 can also use them.

 

I know the TF-51 doesn't have any weapons / gun-sights etc. but I should still be able to fly it in my P-51 missions. Right now I'm hoping to avoid re-programing the game controls and creating another profile for my X-55 if at all possible. I would be very grateful for any help. TC

You could save your P-51 profiles, edit them very carefully to remove the non-functional commands, then import them via the Options>Controls screen. Better yet, save the P-51 profile, then delete (clear) the unused commands in the P-51 profile, and save it again. Use the second one to import to the TF-51, then use the first save to restore the P-51 commands.

 

For the missions, the best you can do is open them and replace the P-51 with a TF-51 and fix problems from there.

 

As far as DCS is concerned, they are completely different aircraft.

While it's the same basic plane inside the sim it's a different aircraft. You will need to open the missions and change it there.

 

There was a change in the way controller files are created in 1.2.8. You should expect to reset all of them from scratch. The good news is that the change that was made should make resets less frequent.
