ShuRugal Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 So, I have a problem using TrackIR with the co-pilot's flexi sight. The sight itself turns easily enough, but I find it a devil of a time to keep my viewpoint aligned behind the sight, so that i may see the reticule. I spend so much time trying to get behind the sight that I cannot aim properly, and am thus quite shit at hitting anything. Is there any way to force the view to stay aligned with the flex sight? some way to slave X and Y translation to remain on axis with the sight?
KLR Rico Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 +1 on this! I have a hell of a time trying to use the flex or door guns with headtracking. i5-4670K@4.5GHz / 16 GB RAM / SSD / GTX1080 Rift CV1 / G-seat / modded FFB HOTAS
PatriotCFS Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 What worked for me was just pressing F9 to pause the Track IR and just use the mouse to aim and fire.
hitman Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Id rather just use trackir to move the head and use the mouse to track the gun.
julian265 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Normally I set dead-zones in my tracker's translational and rotational curves so that minor real head movements don't disrupt aiming. I have to tweak the snap view defaults file to correct the neutral head position as well (all DCS views default to a too low angle IMO)
