I didn't know until recently that all HOTAS, but ALL HOTAS have flaws. Some bigger flaws, some smaller, but even the mighty TM Warthog is suffering a lot (maybe the most critical flaw).

Playing arround with BU0836 controllers I found no issue on them.

- cannot be bricked (at least no case reported)

- no special drivers needed, so kind of future proof device (please don't analyse to deep the meaning of "future proof")

- no hysterezis effect

- expandable device

- good 12bit resolution. It could be even better but I think at this moment this is beyond our needs.

What is missing to it? Well first of all is missing the physical form. Secondly is missing the force feedback.

The physical form can be handled by anybody by adapting any SH HOTAS with this electronic device.

What about force feedback. I, for example, will gladly hack an G940 to use only its force feedback together with a BU0836 device but i don't know how to do it.

One of my findings while playing with both BU0836 as well BU0836X is that the axis are filtered beter on the X variant (almost no noise on it). So, as primary X-Y is needed a good precission then the BU0836X should be the choice.

ISSUE: Can anybody help to have a force feedback device in conjuction with an BU0836 device? Any real solution is welcome, hacking an known FF device, using and Arduino .. whatever you know to handle.

This pretty much covers your desires in principal. You get the FFB, and you just need to custom build your grip with switches, hats etc, or use the system outlined by Peter P.

I am planning a second build with custom built grip for KA 50, attached by detachable plug to stick, with Bodnar board in the base.

Here is my collective build, using a bodnar board, which gives another option. Again, in principle, this is a route which could be attached to a FFB hack.
