I really love the lights of Kohlki, why with Kutaisi...

Hello folks,

 

My home base is Kutasi and I would like to know why the day no light are present on the taxyways, parkings and along the runway like it's the case with Kohlki ?

 

By day with the fog when I takeoff or landing with Kohlki all the lights are on and I found this base awesome.

 

Why with Kutasi it's not the same case ?

Senaki-Kholki is one of the re-worked airbases around the map, while Kutaisi is not.

I haven´t heard if ED is re-working any fields for the moment. But the ones who are beautiful for now is:

 

Batumi

Beslan

Tbilisi-Lochini

Mozdok

Senaki-Kolkhi

Soganlug

Sukhumi-Babushara

Vaziani

 

If I remember correctly these were improved when ED expanded the map some years ago. They are now working on the lighting and atmospherical rendering as well as EDGE - which will improve the looks drastically. But no changes in airfields for the Caucasus theather to my understanding.

The ones that GripenNG listed are the best looking. Those are my night mission. All others are christmas tree light. They have been this way for the beginning A10c standalone. Over 4 years ago. Probably will stay that way. Someone made a mod to help make them look better but it makes the good ones look ok. I use to have it but having a hard time finding.

DCS are developing each day so we should´nt rule out anything. But to not be frustrated it´s better to not epect anything, and be happy what you get. If we look back from where DCS where some years ago - it´s easy to be optimistic for the future.

 

Just that this thread ended up in the DCS Wishlist should be considered an answer to the question about the obsolete airfields.

IIRC HungaroJet was working on a project where he was improving all the old airbases with lights consistent to the new ones. I haven't really seen any updates on that recently though.
