I was not aware that there were any issues? Could you elaborate?

Perform Task > Assign Group works, but the enroute task does not. When giving a JTAC that task he will call "No further tasking" available even though he is in direct line of sight and in range of the target.

I thought this was a known issue and was the reason everyone says to do it via assign group. Am I doing it wrong?

EDIT: I'm sorry I don't have a track to post atm.

Thats how I would do it. I fly helicopters exclusivly ATM and am out of touch with using Jtacs but they where always slightly buggy. If I get the chance I will try it this evening but when I was an A10-C jock it was very frustrating that they ignored obvious targets.

One thing you could try is not assigning anything. See if JTAC will identify targets without any input via advanced waypoints

Things changed for JTAC a few updates ago. I used to use Enroute task, but went to Assign group. A while back, when I noticed it had changed, ED had introduced a frequency and a modulation at the bottom of the tab. I normally use 30 and FM. This works for me.

I assume you are talking about the air JTAC (predator or reaper) and not a ground JTAC. The ground JTACs just needs to be assigned FAC, and then just good old line of sight will do for them.
