Just curious, but why do I sometimes get "Sorry, you cannot give reputation to this post"?

 

I don't often remember to give reputation, so it can't be frequency, and I don't think I'm repeatedly giving it to the same people, so I'm not sure what's going on.

 

It's not really a big issue. I'm just interested to know what's going on.

For some subforums this function is disabled - for example the chit-chat forum.

Post over a certain age (not sure how old but less than a month) cannot be repped either.
