Fellow Pilots:

I have been watching Wess28s ADF/VHF FM tutorials but I cannot get my indicators on ADF or VHF AM to move.

When I dial in an NDB or call number from downed pilot,is there other operations to do before using these radios?

would appreciate any help.

thanks; olekrow

Apparently so, yes. But since we don't know what you did, it's a little hard to tell... :music_whistling:

Just try to replicate the problem in a mission (as short as possible), then save the track and upload it here so that we can take a look. Call out if you need help on that.

Also, what version of DCS are you currently running?

I've tried turning the dials to change freq. But it only changes the volume knob. Is there some secret to this that I don't know about?

Are you sure, that you service the right panel? The ADF has no volume control. It has a gain control which controls the amplification distance to the white noise level. The frequency is controlled with the right rotary knob (TUNE). Use the mouse wheel to dial the frequency. The lower level knob sets the frequency range. This is controlled with the left and right mouse button. BTW, I just tested the controls. It all works normal.

I was talking about radios in general. Left/right click turns the volume knob up and down, no matter where I click on the knob.

That's interesting. Are you talking about the A10C or UH1D? I observed a similar bug with the VHF boxes in the A10C. Especially with box 3 you can see the dials turning after a mouse click, but the frequency does not change. I am not sure if this is a DCS bug or that I destroyed something in my configuration. If someone else observes this in version 1.2.8.27915, please post it here in.

I just did a small test run with the Huey.

Upper left VHF AM Box:

Frequencies are dialed with the mouse wheel. Normal reaction.

Power on and volume are controlled with left and right mouse click.

UHF Box below:

Frequencies are dialed with the mouse wheel. Normal reaction.

Right VHF FM box:

Frequencies are dialed with left and right mouse click. Normal reaction.

The controls are not in dependence of any other switch. They should work even in a cold and dark cockpit.

That explains a lot. I didn't know the freq knobs were controlled by the scroll wheel. Thanks man.
