This forum is labeled "Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 and 2", right?

And still is every single posting here either DCS World related or is at least about DCS Flaming Cliffs 3.

Or am I missing something (perhaps too obvious too me) here, something why people hide their postings here were they have no context?

Wutt.. Tuco I'm little lost now.

This section should be about general FC1 and 2 questions. Flaming cliffs 3 forum is here: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=321. It does have its own subthread on the main forum. And it also has individual threads for the modules within the FC3 thread.

But i'm actually not sure what you want or what you are missing.

Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.

He is trying to say that the heading "Lock On 1 & 2" could be easily missed and overlooked when browsing the main forums list when focussed on the forum names and not on the sub-headings. Well, that's at least my interpretation :o)

NO....your not missing anything at all. But....you also have over 2000 posts here and know the ropes like the back of your hand. If you notice, most of the misplaced threads are by people with fewer than 100 posts. I am not excusing these wrongly posted threads by any means (including my own). However, anyone in advertising will tell you that getting people to pay attention to the key words in any ad is all about color, predominance, and knowing where the human eye will gravitate to next. In the case of this forum, my eye wanders toward the predominate "baby blue" color that fills the page. It is where a vast majority of the guiding chracters with important information are located. I (like many others obviously) tend to notice the darker print that appears over the lighter blue color. The darker blue separating lines will go largely unnoticed by many of the newer people simply because their eye is equating the darker blue with less important information. Therefore, any information written on it is more likely to go un-noticed. I'm not a rocket scientist, but then, I'm an educated person who understands a lot about what people see and don't see in things. And like a majority of folks, I tend to miss and catch certain common things. If the dividing lines were the red color that's all over the pages, or even black or some other color (unrelated to blue), many more people would notice the "Flaming Cliffs 1 and 2" instead of just seeing the General discussion which is clearly the predominate message. And...the "general discussion" is where many people feel that their thread belongs in a heading labeled "General Discussion". You never see an ad with 2 like colors layered on one another with little variance in tone or font. Advertisers know that no one would read the important message. The human brain is lazy by nature when it comes to collecting information and only picks up roughly 10% of what the eye sees. This is why billboards, newspaper ads, and most any written advertising never use fonts like "Old English" or "Playbill" for their main message. Most people won't bother reading it and if they do, their brain won't really store the information. The rule of thumb is that for every 7 times you see something in writing, you acknowledge it once. And that is if you are clever enough to get people to read the whole message.

So my apologies for mis- posting, I'm sure I'll get it after a few more posts.
