71st_Mastiff Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 The master caution light and sound are annoying me when starting the engines and just sitting on the ramp, Why wont this sound shut off? along with this sound is the G-meter doing weird stuff, the needle going crazy. boquinauer Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 It's not the G-meter but the Angle of Attack indicator powered by an angle of attack vane (AoA sensor). It moves with the relative wind when the airplane is inflight. The more nose high attitude that you have compared to your direction of flight the more deflected that the AoA vane is going to be. Thus giving you this information on the AoA indicator that you have in the cockpit. Pretty simple. On the ground, with no speed, the vane can ve affected by weather (wind). So If you are sitting in the parking area and your mission has some wind your AoA vane may move giving you all these weird indications. Also, if a wind gusts moves de AoA indicator beyond the stall limit (all airplanes stall at a fixed angle of attack) your "master caution" will sound and illuminate. It's awesome that this had been modeled in the "free Su25T". If this false indication annoys you while on the ground, just mute the warning horn by pressing "RShift + N" Cheers
