Su-25 plain vanilla with cream!

Speaking about realism, the vanilla Su-25 is certainly at the forefront of Lockon: not only has it AFM and the righter thrust/weight ratio, but it is actually also one of the most combat-proven soviet aircraft, providing sterling service in a lot of of current and past hotspots.

 

Realistic is also the fact however that many aircraft get upgrades during their livetime. So my proposal to ED is this: I'd sure want to pay for a little avionics upgrade of the Su-25, swapping the obsolete gunsight with a real HUD. I'm sure the cash-strapped soviet aviation industry has this on offer for the various Su-25 customers. E.g. Peru is currently upgrading its Su-25 fleet, so why shouldn't we, the Lockon community upgrade our gear?

 

The strange thing is I fly obsolete gunsights all the time in SFP1/WOV, but in Lockon I can't get used to it.

 

So yes, my wish for 1.2 is an su-25 "export upgrade" :)

I vote SCORPION SU-25KM for Georgia (with R-73's). LOBS has the moving map technology etc. Give it the R-73's & it'll almost look after itself.

Russian Su-25s still have their original ASP-17 gunsights. And... we have not yet any detailed info about any of Su-25 upgrades (same for Su-25T).

We always try to get as much info as we can. The process is going well. We constantly obtain something new from various sources (I am talking only about real military docs. Unclassified of course).
