Hello ;)

I don't no why but impossible to use my radio for called the ATC, in the Mission Editor I have recorded these frequencies:

41.00 ---> Kutaisi

40.60 ---> Senaki-Kolkhi

40.40 ---> Batumi

40.40 ---> Sukhumi

But once I'm the Dora Impossible to speak with the ATC and Ground Crew.

I've played with the 4 positions of the "Frequency Selector" from the "FuG 16ZY Control panel" but nothing, just one time I've can speak with the ATC but now nothing.

Please can you help me to understand the good method ? :helpsmilie:

A great thanks in advance, Skull.

Researching to find if this is a bug...
Thanks for your answer, but impossible to say if it's one bug...

PS: I hope that explanations are clear :cry:

So I gonna try to explain the method that I use but of course but maybe it's not the good solution :helpsmilie:

In first in my" Mission Editor" I enter the 4 frequencies that I want:

Senaki: 40.60

Kutaisi: 41.00

Batumi: 40.40

Sukhumi: 40.00

After I enter to the Bort ligne: 41.00 for Kutaisi because it's my home base and because I takeoff from this place.

Once inside my cockpit and during my Ramp Start I switch the "Radio Channel Selector" to #2 for the Kutaisi channel: 41.00

If I let "Radio Channel Selector" to #2 it's perfect because I can talk with the ATC from the ground or when I'm in the air.

When I'm a little far from Kutaisi and I turn the "Radio Tunning rotary" sometime I can talk with Kutaisi ATC but I must found the good setting with the "Radio Tunning rotary".

But where I meet one problem it's with the other frequencies "Senaki, Batumi, Sukhumi", If I let my "Radio Channel Selector" to #2 I cannot talk with these three frequencies.

So I let in "Radio Channel Selector" to #2 and I play with the "Radio Tunning rotary" but nothing.

So I switch my "Radio Channel Selector" to #1 and I play with the "Radio Tunning rotary" but once again nothing.

After that I switch my "Radio Channel Selector" to #4 and one again I play with the "Radio Tunning rotary" my radio is dead, impossible to talk with the ATC.

But if I switch "Radio Channel Selector" to #2 and I play with the "Radio Tunning rotary" I can talk with the Kutaisi ATC.

In fact I must play with the "Radio Tunning rotary" for found the good setting and after that everything is OK for Kutaisi but nothing for "Senaki, Batumi, Sukhumi"

I join you one screenshot with my "Mission Editor" and the radio rack of the Dora but I don't know if I meet one bug or if it's one mistake from my part :doh:

Please anyone can help me because now I can't found the solution...:helpsmilie:

Thanks in advance for your assistance, Skull :worthy:

well, my observation is just, that channel 3 works just fine, if you set the frequenzie you want in the editor.

channels 1,2 and 4 were planed to be for air to air communications, so that would explain why those are NOT working with ATC.

technicaly on the other hand, i do not see, why those channels should not work with other ATC frequs at all.

anyway, i use channel 3 for my homeplate, and there it is working just fine ;)

regards,

RR

PS:

havent tried 2 and 4 so far, as the manual stated 3 would be for ATC anyway.

Hello Roadrunner,

OK, if I've well uderstand you explanations and if I want just talk with the ATC I must use the channel 3 for the ATC operations.

But if I want used my 4 frequencies from my 4 bases I must stay with the channel 3 ?

Do you have tested your method with four frequencies like me ?

And please can you tell me if you use the "Radio Tunning Rotary" or not ?

Please can you give me your feedback from my last post ?

A great thanks again for your assistance, Skull.

Channel 1 is currently inoperable, see current manual page 78.

Hope this is going to change along the road, including the ADF functionality and the homing indicator!

Apart from that, my findings are as follows:

Channel 1 on its own is inoperable, the frequency you set in the ME doesn't do a thing.

However, channel 1 mimics the frequency set for channel 2.

Channels 2-4 work just as expected and I can reach ATC on any of those (given correct frequency).

Greetings

Hello again,

Channels 2-4 work just as expected and I can reach ATC on any of those (given correct frequency).

I'm sorry but one thing don't work with my radio...

Once again I've read your explanations but nothing, I can just call and talk with the ATC of my home base but for the other three radios nothing.

Is it possible to have one little video or screenshots because I'm lost...

Thanks again, Skull.
