Reticuli Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Some of them seem inordinately difficult to kill compared to a few updates back. In particular, gun shots aren't doing much. Rabbit_ Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Yes. My friend experiences the same thing, while flying Ka-50. He just sprays them with cannon rounds and nothing happens. Sometimes even Vikhr doesn't work. It sucks. There is no way, the soldier would survive this. Also, sometimes their rate of fire is ridiculous. :noexpression:
msalama Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 All infantry has become so much more resilient lately that they're all but indestructible with the UH-1H minigun at least. Hopefully a fix is in the works... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
JHzlwd Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Although this is a fantastic sim my wish is that some time the developers would forget about new features and put all their effort into a release where the only objective was to fix a few things. I have documented my own findings elsewhere in these forums but a couple of examples are: 1 - Vehicles refusing to cross bridges. 2 - Convoy units parking on top of bridge trusses rather than on the deck. 3 - Comms towers requiring 15 or more Vikhrs to destroy. 4 - Armed AI units refusing to deploy weapons. etc., etc. These things don't always happen but seem situation dependent, which makes trying to find a pattern difficult. I hate to whine when this sim is so much fun but really - some of this has been problematic for a long time. Dr_Arrow Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 All infantry has become so much more resilient lately that they're all but indestructible with the UH-1H minigun at least. Hopefully a fix is in the works... I've just set-up a mission with AI UH-1H minigun against soldiers and they died immediately. I also tested AI AH-64 and Cobra and all worked well. Only AI Mi-24V and Ka-50 are not able to attack anything with their guns (they are just mixing eggs with them and not shooting).
msalama Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 OK, could be they've fixed it in v1.2.10 then - was certainly a problem previously. But thanks for the headsup mate, am off to try meself too ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
msalama Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Right you are good Sir, they're killable again! Thanks for pointing this out  The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Dr_Arrow Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Right you are good Sir, they're killable again! Thanks for pointing this out   I just hope they will fix Ka-50 and Mi24V gun attack AI also soon.
Chlebakus Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I have experienced this bug since I started to fly Georgian Oil War campaign. And it is not as much new. Rabbit mentioned it. It could be about six months, but I didnt have the idea to report it. They were indestructible even with vikhrs. Often one of them survived which didnt stopped him to shoot at me even due to fact that manpads needs 2 guys to deploy missiles. Anyway, good to hear their armored bodies are prone to dying again  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mordhar Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Tried to play Ka-50 quick mission yesterday. I Used “Vikhr” against group of three soldiers and UAZ. Regular soldiers and car was destroyed immediately, but one with “Igla” survived. After that I spend ALL cannon ammo and S-8 rockets on him with no effect. This cyborg just stand in hell of explosions without a scratch. Рожденный ползать летит недолго.
ajax Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I've run across the same thing, but I believe the manpad has indeed been killed -- the game engine just doesn't change the object to the dead version. I have verified this by reviewing the action using Tacview. 1
