Hi

Yes, next version of DCSW 2.0.0 will bring the new graphic engine "EDGE" and then will be the new Nevada map, also in the works Normandy map for DCS WWII and more maps are planed, like, Falkland islands, north Africa - Tubruq, Mach Loop – Welsh Valleys, Duxford and more..

There is no yet an official dynamic campaign, but there is a community that organize dynamic campaigns and making set of tools and scripts to make a dynamic campaign. soon the new dynamic campaign, called: "Summer Rain", that my community taking a part of, will start. campaign trailer:

The features of those campaign are in general:

- mission planner that the commanders can plan online the routs of their flights.

- mission state save - after the mission ends the server save the last state of the mission for the next mission, also saving every few minutes for backup in a case of a crash.

- automatic ground warfare - the ground forces will advance\retreat automatically depends the situation.

- logistics - supplies of fuel, munitions, factories, pilots etc..

- CSAR - if a player had been shot down, it's possible to rescue the down pilot by rescue helicopters, and also revive the slot of the downed plane.

- Human ground commander and human GCI

- transporting troops by helicopters

- Traffic of AI planes

- Campaign statistics

Thanks for the info! Sounds like there is a better future for DCS. I haven't played in a few years as the same map and very clinical missions, just adding new aircraft hasn't "done" it for me. I find a good sim is about the whole world/battlefield experience, not just flipping switches in a new aircraft. P51 and F86 over Georgia? ;)

In fairness, there was a significant amount of fighting in the Caucasus region, it's hardly stretching the imagination to imagine Russian P-51s under the lend-lease program or some American forces helping out the Russians at the time.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
