tomcatter Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) Yesterday two Italian Tornados collided in midair while performing a low level flying. The crash occur at 18 mn. from Ascoli Piceno, in central east Italy, the collision made a huge fire ball and both aircraft fell on the ground, causing a forest fire. The two aircraft belonging to the 6º Stormo departed from Ghedi air base on a regular training flight. Both crew ejected, but no parachutes were seen, so both crew are still consider missing. A Predator and two helicopters are looking for them, but they still missing after almost 24 hours from the crash. Edited August 20, 2014 by tomcatter spelling
