dommynic Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Because of the low fps of the cockpit,I want remove the pilot model form cockpit to improve the fps....But no toggle to set
lmp Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Currently there's no way to do it (without modding the game at least). You could try turning off the mirrors (you can make them off by default in the options or you can toggle them with "M" in the game). That'll buy you a few frames.
NeilWillis Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 You can also disable mirrors by simply clicking on them from within the cockpit and folding them away.
lmp Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 You can fold mirrors in the Mi-8? Wow, I never noticed that, I'll have to try it out! The "black circle" you see when you just turn them off always irritated me, and I could use the extra fps.
dommynic Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 You can also disable mirrors by simply clicking on them from within the cockpit and folding them away. thank you:thumbup: but the fps is also bad, just 27-33
dommynic Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Does the DCS 2.0 will optimize and improve the performance of model?DirectX 11.0?
lmp Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 The last newsletter listed among the features of DCS 2.0: * DirectX 11 support * Improved game performance
dommynic Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 The last newsletter listed among the features of DCS 2.0: I see,so expect! :smilewink:
NeilWillis Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Does the DCS 2.0 will optimize and improve the performance of model?DirectX 11.0? It will definitely improve the performance of most computers simply because it will make far better use of the resources currently available. It won't be long coming, so in the meantime, just lower the graphics demands by turning down the levels in the video options. Right now, that's the best advice, Edge is supposed to be out before the end of the year.
Devrim Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 You can fold mirrors in the Mi-8?...No, you can't "fold", can only disable them. When disabled, mirror holds current image. That's it. But of course, you'll save some FPS. *** Disabling pilots in cockpit was my old wish (couldn't find the thread) to gain some FPS. Really, we need more options to gain FPS, and devs should know that.
