theGozr Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) I was making some tests and I decided to run CF on my two R9 290x's It's usually disabled. And.. I choose Rise of Flight profile. ROF.exe Got a serious boost ! Here my simple sample settings.. Try it and let me know if it's working better for you. I never had DCS running so smooth.. SkateZilla Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Odd, Copied your Settings, On Serpents Head Mission Start, (Start Mission, Pause, Zoom out, Cockpit view center) With Crossfire Off, my normal 26 FPS With Crossfire ON, 15 FPS Hrmmmmmm I need to run that again and check GPU Usage, With Xfire Off, 2nd GPU Stayed off (I can see the Power LEDs) With XFire On, 2nd GPU Turned on. Checked, GPU Usage in XFire Mode never went about 46% for either GPU Edited October 1, 2014 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

theGozr Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 So far with original MiG-21's files which is the worse on FPS... All other crafts are much higher.. -This is from the Take OFF Mission Fly it like you stole it..
SkateZilla Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) I'll wait for DX11 Support. But Yeah, I tried for months to get it to work, injecting custom profiles etc, nothing. We've had multiple threads about it, and some serious people playing with it, and no one was able to get XFire to function correctly. End result is that the DX9 Engine doesnt support XFire. It's likely a Placebo on your end. As for you Mig-21 Screens. First one you have buildings and objects galore, Second one, Nada. In order to be accurate, you have to use the same spot of the mission everytime. Like I said, I just load up serpent's head mission, start, then pause, then zoom out cockpit view centered, that way it's the same object counts and positions every time, Edited October 1, 2014 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
theGozr Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Do you have the MiG-21 ? Did tried head's serpent A10 Mission .. high 50's to locked at 60.. AMD's lately has a hard time on DCS but this changed to me at list. Fly it like you stole it..
theGozr Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 I find the MiG-21 more GPU challenged ( Textures/Polygons ) errors etc.. and the "Snake" head more CPU oriented. Fly it like you stole it..
bart Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Guy's I didn't think DCS in it's current form supported cross fire? Every time I've tried to switch it on I get horrible artefacts all over the screen and it's unplayable. I am running old GPU drivers but that's due to the fact my Track IR will not work with the current AMD drivers (14.4).
